Post: Researcher in Papyrology and Digital Philology
Digital Humanities Interests:
My current DH research pertains to the following topics: crowdsourcing and user workflows; the application of machine/deep learning techniques in the study of ancient manuscripts and handwriting; the development of applications that facilitate the creation of born-digital critical (and thus citable) editions of Greek, Latin, Coptic, and Old Nubian texts and fragments; 3D imaging and virtual modelling of ancient papyrus bookrolls. I am also very interested in the topic of automation and how it will ultimately affect the digital humanities.
